CLOTHING:

These are my outcomes to my researched image. I have looked at Indian clothing in terms of patterns, fabrics and style. For my photo shoot, I asked my model to wear something traditional that clearly represents Indian clothing. The equipment I used was a Nikon D90 DSLR Camera, a tripod, a black background and two studio lights with white umbrellas. When I took these images, I kept my camera settings the same with an ISO of 400, shutter speed on 50 and aperture on F6.
My researched image inspired me by the style of the clothing and the colour. The colour inspired me more because it is a very unique colour that is not really seen much in Indian clothing. Usually, the ‘signature’ colours are either red, green, pink or gold. I felt this colour choice brought something unique in my work. Another thing that is common in my work is depth of field. I also tried to have my model sitting down on a chair to display the patterns on her clothing more but I felt that it didn’t work as well as her standing or sitting on the ground. If I could change one thing in my work, it would be the lighting. This is because I felt maybe a warmer effect would have looked better in the images. So, I would change the white umbrellas to the gold umbrellas.
