BRIDAL SHOWER:

This is my response to Nicole Chan’s proposal photograph. I took this photo at a bridal shower and this is an image of the bride with her mother. I took this picture when the two were hugging each other. I felt that this is an important moment to capture because it was a rare moment for the bride and it had a lot of emotion to it. I used Photoshop to change the image to black and white and to blur out the background. I changed the image to black and white because I felt that the meaning behind it would stand out even more. Also because the colours in the original image were quite distracting. I blurred out the background because the main focus is on the mother and daughter. I think that this image is successful because by looking at the bride’s smile, it changes your mood and make you feel happy after looking at this image. It almost wants to make you be a part of the moment. If I was able to change this image, I would make sure that the bride is fully inside the frame of the picture so she is not cropped out.
