REPORTAGE

REPORTAGE:

I went to Baylis House hotel for work experience and I saw a wedding taking place at the venue. I took pictures of the bride and groom entering the hall and during the photo session, I took a few pictures of them sitting down and greeting with their guests. This picture shows the emotions and the relationship between the man and wife. I used a Nikon D90 camera with a medium lens to zoom into the bride and groom’s face to capture their expressions in the image. The bride is looking at the groom in a lovingly way as if she cannot believe she is getting married. I was inspired to take this picture by the music in the background. The music made the scene look so romantic as if it was from a Bollywood film so I took this image to put the cherry on top. This is successful as I feel that it has created the effect it should have in the audience’s perspective.  If there is one thing I would change, it would be changing the perspective of the image, having the bride’s face in focus and the groom’s face out of focus but in the foreground. This would create a better effect as it would be clearer on what the bride is looking at.
